Tape The Radio

Tape the Radio doing their shopping in Strikes…

Although Tape The Radio don’t seem to have been recording or performing for a couple of years now, perhaps they’ll reappear sometime as I don’t think there was ever an actual ‘no more scuba diving’ announcement.

Malcolm Carson, the singer/songwriter behind the band, was recently said to be writing new tunes, so you never know. He’s also been managing and producing for other artists such as Frank’s Daughter and Colour the Atlas.

Their album from 2011, Heartache And Fear, is still a cracker, so give it a listen – links on the right.

Music and Video

Save A Life was the first song I heard, and possibly the best, although this is the album version. It was released twice as a single, the first pre-dates the album and is arguably an even better version than this.

Our Love Is A Broken Heart is good too!

1989 was the last single released from Heartache And Fear. Release date: 23 March 2012

Although it’s a stonking album and a big favourite of mine, it’s also got what must be the most unattractive cover ever! Perhaps it’s to emphasise the emotions of the title.
